I am so fortunate and thrilled that I have taken this journey. I have another wonderful sponsor - Sanofi Aventis, the company that makes my Lantus insulin (long acting). They gave me a very generous donation. I met Peter Wainwright, the district manager and Karen Dickson, a regional representative. They were so wonderful and encouraging - I hope I can make them proud. The money they gave me will allow me to buy some much need equipment, racing clothes, and to keep on track with my training. This company is developing products that address the needs of the patient and their lifestyle. Rather than just focusing on the medical problem they are really looking at how people live. Lantus insulin works for 24 hours and changed my life. It regulates my sugars all day and keeps me balanced which allows me to train. I know that without this new type of long acting insulin I would have struggled with my training. Thanks to the scientists, and Peter and Karen who work to keep my life normal. Meeting them today I could tell it's not just a job to them, and I hope in a small way I could show them the results of all their efforts. The company changed my life through its products and now has changed it once again through their support. Because of this donation I am now in the winter of 2007 going to start training for the Ironman. There's no stopping me now!!

Johnson company and I have been using their their test strips since I
was a child. When I told them I would not have medical coverage for the
summer and wasn't sure how I could pay $200 a month the representative
in my area said she would work something out for me!
Some of the medical companies cannot give money because all available funds go into research which is making it difficult for me to find sponsors. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring me I will link my web page to your companies web page and through this medium I will report on each race. I will have photos available and can send monthly reports if your company needs regular updates.
